🎯 How Shotcall Works

• Shotcall is a social prediction game for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
• No real money is exchanged on the platform. It is purely for fun and bragging rights.
• Create or join groups with your friends using invite codes, links, or QR codes.
• Predict match scores before they happen and earn points based on accuracy.
• Climb the leaderboard and earn badges for your achievements.

For every match, you predict the score at the end of 90 minutes (regular time). Use the + and - buttons to set your predicted score for each team.

Knockout Stage (Round of 32 onward):

In the knockouts there is always a winner. Your prediction works in up to three steps:

• 1. The 90 minutes. First predict the score after 90 minutes, exactly like the group stage. This is what your main match points (and all badges) are based on. A team can win here, or it can be a draw.
• 2. Extra time. If you predict a draw after 90 minutes, a second panel opens to predict the extra-time score. Extra time continuesfrom your 90-minute score, so you can only add goals — e.g. if you said 1-1 after 90', extra time starts at 1-1 and can become 2-1, 1-2, 2-2, and so on (never below 1-1).
• 3. Penalties. If you predict extra time as a draw too, a third panel opens to pick the penalty-shootout winner.

The extra-time and penalty points stack on top of your 90-minute points. See the point system below.

🧮 Worked example. A Round-of-32 match. You predict 1-1after 90', extra time 2-2, penalties won by Brazil. The match really is 1-1, then 2-2 in extra time, and Brazil wins on penalties. You earn: 5 (exact 90-minute score) + 2 (exact extra-time score) + 1 (penalty winner) =8 points. If you had predicted a decisive 90-minute result instead (say 2-1), you would make no extra-time prediction and earn only your 90-minute points.

💡 Note:Group admins can customize all point values (including the extra-time and penalty points). The values above are the defaults. Any changes are logged in the group's Transparency Feed. Badges are always based on your 90-minute prediction.

• Pick the Champion, Runner-up, Third Place, and the two Finalists before the tournament.
• You can change your picks at any time before the tournament starts, but only your latest picks count.
• The earlier you pick correctly, the more points you earn. Points decrease as the tournament progresses.
• Runner-up, Third Place, and Finalists picks earn points only up to and including the Round of 16. After R16, only the Champion pick has points, and only until the Quarter Finals. From the Semi Finals onward, no tournament predictions earn any points.
• For the Finalists prediction, both teams must be correct (order does not matter). For Runner-up and Third Place, order matters.

💡 Note: Group admins can customize all point values. The values above are the defaults.

• Standard Lock: Predictions close at kickoff.
• You can edit your prediction as many times as you want before lockout.
• If you forget to predict, you simply get 0 points for that match. No penalty.
• Nobody can see your prediction before lockout. Not even admins. After lockout, all predictions in your group become visible.

• If enabled by your group admin, you can submit a prediction up to 5 minutes after kickoff.
• This only works if the score is still 0-0.
• Late Tax: Any points earned on a grace-period prediction incur a -2 point penalty.
• Example: Exact Score would give 5 - 2 = 3 points instead of 5.
• After 5 minutes, only the group admin can manually enter a prediction (if score is still 0-0).

• Anyone can create a group. Groups can have up to 500 members.
• Share your group via invite code, link, or QR code.
• You can be in multiple groups at the same time.
• Groups can have multiple admins. Admins can promote members or transfer ownership.
• If you leave a group, you can choose to keep or delete your points.
• Admins can kick members from the group.

• Every admin action is logged in the Transparency Feed visible to all group members.
• This includes: manual prediction entries, point value changes, score overrides, and member kicks.
• Match scores are fetched automatically from the official API. Admins can override only if the API has errors.
